About Mercell

Mercell is Northern Europe’s leading meeting place for buyers and suppliers. Suppliers

Our buyers' contracts are the object of competition between the market’s best suppliers, and we make it easy for buyers to come in contact with these suppliers.

Mercell was established in 1999 and is a wholly owned Norwegian company. Today we have
over 110 employees in 9 countries. Mercell Norway is headquartered in Oslo
with branch offices in Mosjøen and Bergen.

The public sector in Norway enters into contracts for approximately 315 billion
Norwegian kroner (NOK) and in all of Scandinavia goods and services are bought for 750 billion kroner. All of these contracts must be put out for tender so that they are publicly available
and all suppliers should have an opportunity to compete for these contracts.

Mercell gathers up all of these tenders, in addition to having a separate tool
for buyers. Our tools can be used by both public and private companies. Using
Mercell, suppliers are assured a total overview of all contracts from both the
public and private sector.

Over 1,600 tenders and inquiries are published daily via Mercell and we have over
12,000 suppliers in all industries. These suppliers receive a daily alert of tenders and
inquiries from Mercell, ensuring that they are informed about the particular
contracts they are looking for.

Mercell Tender Service (MTS) is an Internet-based service that simply sends e-mail alerts
about tenders and inquiries. The service encompasses tenders in all industries
and covers all of Europe geographically. Mercell monitors over 2,000 sources
daily in both print and electronic media. All contracts that are published are
given a number of industry codes/product codes and geographic parameters so
that the individual supplier receives the price and tender inquiries that are
most relevant to that supplier’s line of business.

For buyers – Mercell Sourcing Service (MSS)
